About the cohort
C-SHARP is an HDSS embedded within a routine community health worker programme, operating in two areas in Cape Town. The HDSS is managed by the government health authority, with strong academic partnerships, in order to ensure that the HDSS and service delivery are mutually re-inforcing of each other. All data are integrated in a Health Information Exchange, enabling consented linkage of HDSS data to the longintudinal public sector shared health record.
