DIMAMO HDSS (Dikgale-Mamabolo-Mothiba Health and Demographic Surveillance System) is a rural research site in Limpopo, South Africa, covering over 100,000 people in 56 villages. It's part of SAPRIN and conducts longitudinal surveillance to track births, deaths, migration, and health behaviours. Data is collected three times a year through field visits and phone interviews. The data collected from DIMAMO helps inform health policy, planning, and academic research. DIMAMO supports research on components such as HIV, chronic diseases and socio-demographics, etc. and works closely with the community through advisory boards.
